All notable, human-facing changes to Frequency. Newest first. Written for people, not machines (per Keep a Changelog); technical detail lives in git history. This file is the single source for the public What's new page, so it auto-updates on every release.
Versioning follows the release tags (vMAJOR.MINOR.PATCH). Add changes under
## [Unreleased] as you ship them; on release, rename it to the new version + date.
Vera welcomes new members now: the old "Frequency Moderation" account is Vera, with a Moderator badge. When someone new joins, she drops a single quiet line in the feed instead of a full post, the way a group chat notes a new arrival: "so-and-so joined through their-inviter", both names linked, each with their live Zap count beside it. The newcomer also gets a personal hello in their notifications. Find her like anyone else: she has her own card in the Community directory and her own profile.
Quests and Journeys are free for everyone: a Journey is a set of practices you move through; a Quest is a season's official collection of Journeys. Both are free now — start a season's Quest, and build, adopt, remix and share your own Journeys at no cost. (The Quest is still the game; only the Store and your public rank badge remain Crew perks.)
The economy got simpler and fairer: season Zaps now convert to Gems at a flat 5:1 for everyone, plus a one-time Gem bonus for the rank you finish at. Practices pay by weight: light (8), standard (12), or heavy (15) Zaps per log, so a full training session is worth more than a quick check-in. Gem "tiers" are gone; Gems are simply what you spend.
Season 1 challenges, sharpened: a focused set of 15 challenges (easy through legendary). Finish the first fourteen and The Completionist completes itself, with the biggest bonus and a border you can't get any other way.
Scan from inside the app: the Zap menu's Check In and Ghost Node tiles are live. One in-app scanner opens your camera and reads any Frequency code — the event code at the door checks you in (+25 Zaps), a Ghost Node in the wild pays its bounty, a member's code takes you to their profile. Foreign QR codes are politely refused.
Streak milestones make the feed: hit a streak checkpoint (3, 7, 14, 30 days and up) and Vera drops a quiet one-line cheer in the feed with your name on it, the same way she announces new members.
Vera has a real profile now: tap her name anywhere and you get her, not a member template: who she is, what she does around the place, and an Ask Vera button. No streaks or rank; she's a voice, not a player.
The Zap menu pays attention: when an event you RSVP'd to is happening right now, the Check In tile glows with a quiet pulse ("Happening now"). And your very first time in the menu, one line explains the deal: everything here earns.
Partner offers, front and center: the Zap menu's Partners tile is live. The Partners page now leads with the offers themselves: what you get, which business gives it, and an Unlocked mark on everything you've already claimed in person. Walk in, scan the plaque, collect the offer and the Zaps.
Joining pays: every new member starts with 10 Zaps the moment they join, and arriving through a friend's link pays a 15 Zap bonus on top (your friend still earns their invite reward, so the link is always the better door). Vera's join lines in the feed now carry each person's live Zap count, already counting everyone who joined before this shipped.
The Zap button: the center button is now the home of everything that earns. One tap opens your tools: share something on your journey, snap an event poster or a business card, or pull up your Connect code for someone you just met, with a live line from Vera reading where your streak stands. Check-ins, Ghost Nodes and partner rewards are on the way in the same grid. Your log lives at the bottom.
Mindless, the practice timer: a quiet little app inside The Quest. Pick a practice, tune out, and follow the breathing rings (Box, 3X, or 4-7-8) or a plain countdown, or set your own pace with the Custom sliders; an optional soft bell or vibration marks each phase so you can close your eyes. The screen stays awake and everything else gets out of the way. When you finish, swipe through your payout: Zaps and bonuses landing one by one, your streak ticking over, your airtime and stats, and a Dispatch from Vera with your next assignment, in her own words. Every Dispatch is saved: scroll back through them under Past Dispatches. It remembers your setup, two minutes counts, and ending early is never punished.
Amplitude, your lifetime number: every Zap you ever earn feeds it, hosting-class acts count double, and it never resets. Watch it climb next to your rank ("Beacon · 14,200"), level up as you go, and bank permanent Awards at the big totals.
The Practice Shelf: every practice you stick with builds its own record. Weekly consistency checkpoints (a full 13-week cycle pays bonus Zaps and a permanent ring) and lifetime depth marks at 10, 25, 50 and 100 logs, collected on your profile.
Practicing together pays: when three or more circle-mates log the same Journey on the same day, everyone gets a small Co-op Pulse bonus.
A kinder comeback: away a week or more? Your first practice back pays a Welcome Back bonus. No guilt, just momentum.
A second way to earn streak freezes: every five Full Day bonuses banks one (still capped at two, still never for sale).
Give an award: once a season you can hand another member a Strong Signal, and circle Hosts can name who Carried the Room. It shows on their profile with your name on it.
New in the Vault Store: Season 1 exclusives (some limited-stock, some rank-gated), plus rank and Journey cosmetics that are earned, never bought.
Events that bring people together: see who's going before you RSVP (faces, the count, and anyone from your circles), add to your calendar in one tap so gatherings actually happen, join a waitlist when an event is full and get moved up automatically when a spot opens, and filter the events library by kind of gathering, energy, or open spots.
Pay your way for events: hosts can offer pay-what-you-can, sliding-scale, and donation tickets alongside fixed prices — and refunds are one tap. Money goes straight to the host.
A "For You" lane for events: when we have a sense of what resonates with you, the events library suggests gatherings you'd vibe with — and tells you, warmly, why.
Circle Current: every time someone from your circle shows up to a gathering, your circle builds Circle Current together — a shared, collaborative measure of showing up (private to your circle unless you choose to share it). It's never a competition between circles.
Event chat and photos: every event has an activity feed to talk before the day, and a shared recap album for photos after. Add a cohost to help you run it.
Host tools for events: announce to your guests across in-app, push, and email (with a real per-event mute), see and export your guest list, work the waitlist, and check people in at the door. If you cancel an event, every paid guest is refunded automatically.
Subscribe and discover: subscribe to your events as a live calendar in Google or Apple Calendar, follow an organizer's page, switch the library to a map, and get a gentle nudge toward people going who share a Channel with you.
Journeys, reimagined: pick a season-long practice track and the app shows your next step — one tap to log it. Every practice now comes in three depths — Initiate (5 min), Adept, and Master — and your circle Host can set the right depth for your group, or you can choose your own. Keep your rhythm and you earn a Full Day bonus, a Weekly Rhythm bonus, and — at 8 of the season's 13 weeks — you complete the Journey for Gems and a permanent badge. When three or more of your circle are on the same Journey, you form a Co-op and travel it together. Your profile now carries a Frequency Signature — a living shape of how your practice spreads across Mind, Body, Spirit, and Expression.
Local Marketplace: a no-fee place to swap, give away, lend, or find things with
neighbors. Browse by type, sort by Near me to see what's closest to you, post a
listing with photos, and edit it anytime. No payment ever happens in the app — you
arrange the handoff offline. Find it at /market.
A home screen that grows with you: your home now shows your stage — from finding your feet to becoming an anchor of the community — with the next thing that moves you up. New members get a calm, focused screen; more tools and panels reveal themselves as you build a streak, follow Journeys and climb the ranks, and you get a little moment when you reach a new stage.
Daily practice streaks that actually work: your streak now counts the days in a row you’ve logged a practice (it used to quietly count weeks). Hit 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 100 or 365 days to earn a badge and bonus zaps, bank streak freezes at the bigger milestones that automatically save you if you miss a day, and get an at-risk nudge on your home screen before a streak slips away. See the new Streaks page in your dashboard.
Your Journey on the Dashboard: adopt a seasonal Journey and follow it on your dashboard — each practice checks off as you keep its weekly rhythm, your next step stays front-and-centre, and you can see who in your circle is walking it too. The current step also shows on your home feed.
User Stats for contacts: open anyone in Marketing → Contacts to see one grouped record — their member profile, CRM details and every card-scan capture together — plus the path they took through the system: how they arrived, the intro you sent, the QR codes they scanned, when they became a member, and your notes and deals. The contacts list is now searchable, and you can invite a scanned lead to join from their page.
Find people you've met: search (the header search and the Directory) now surfaces the people you scanned in, even before they have an account — so a contact you saved is no longer lost until they sign up.
Discover people stewards near you have met: when a steward shares a contact to the network, other stewards in the same city can now find them in search and open a simple card — name, role, and who saved them — so you can ask for an introduction. Private details (email, phone, notes) stay with the steward who saved them.
