Spending Gems in the Vault Store

Gems are the currency you spend, and the Vault Store is where you spend them. Open The Vault from the menu. Your Vault and the Vault Store live on one page.

Your Vault, up top

The top of the page is your Vault at a glance: your spendable Gem balance, your season Zaps and streak, your Amplitude (your lifetime total; it never resets), anything you've got equipped, and a link to the full earning log (more on that below). What's free vs. member is covered in Membership & the Vault.

What's for sale

• Profile cosmetics. Borders and flair icons that dress up your profile.
• Custom titles. A special title displayed on your profile.
• Collectible badges. Exclusive badges for your collection.
• Membership credits. Redeem Gems for free membership months.

How redeeming works

• Your balance is everything you've ever earned minus what you've spent. Gems never reset, so the wallet only grows between purchases.
• Hit Redeem on an item you can afford. Cosmetics and titles apply to your profile right away, and you can own each one only once.
• Some items are limited stock: the card shows how many are left, and when they're gone, they're gone.
• Some items are season exclusives: they stop selling when the season closes, and a few retire on a set date. If you want one, don't sit on it.
• A few items ask for a rank first (the Founders' Table seat needs Adept or above). Earn the rank, then redeem.
• Can't afford something yet? The button tells you exactly how many Gems you're short. No surprises.

Anyone can browse the whole store; spending is the membership benefit. During the beta everything is open to everyone.

Gifting Gems to another member

Gems you have earned are yours to give. Open Gift Gems from the Vault Store, search for a member by name or handle, choose how many Gems to send, and confirm. The amount leaves your spendable balance and lands in theirs right away. They get a notification that you sent it, and it shows in their earning log too, so a gift is something they see, not a silent bump.

A few things worth knowing:

• You can only send what you can spend. A gift never takes you below zero, and if anything goes wrong along the way, the Gems stay in your wallet.
• Your earned total and your Amplitude do not change when you gift. Only your spendable balance moves. The Gems are not spent on you, they are passed on.
• You cannot gift to yourself, and the amount has to be a whole number.

Gifting is open to anyone with Gems to give. It is the one way to spend Gems that is not about you: a way to say thanks, welcome someone new, or back a member doing good work.

"How you earned": your ledger

From the Vault (or by tapping your Gem balance), open How you earned: a running log of every Gem and Zap you've banked, grouped by day, each entry labeled with what earned it and when. Above the timeline sit your four weekly rhythms (attendance, posting, hosting, and activity) with your current and best runs.

The rule that organizes it all: online care earns Gems, real-world showing up earns Zaps (see Zaps & Gems). If a number on your profile ever surprises you, the ledger is where the answer lives.
