The Marketplace is a no-fee way to share things with people near you: offer something, give
it away, lend it out, or ask for what you need. No money changes hands in the app. It just
connects neighbors, and you arrange the handoff offline.
Browsing
- Open Marketplace at
/market to see what's around.
- Filter by type: Offering, Free, To lend, or Looking for.
- Tap Near me to sort listings by distance using your device location. The closest
show first. Listings without a precise location fall to the bottom.
Posting a listing
- Tap Post a listing and give it a title, a type, and a few details.
- Add a price or terms in plain words ("$20", "a trade", "free"). There's no checkout.
- Add photo links if you have them, and tap Use my location so neighbors can find it
by distance.
- You can edit a listing anytime, or mark it claimed or closed when it's done.
Making contact
- A listing links to the poster's profile, where you can reach out and arrange the details.
- Be kind and keep it local. This is mutual support, not a storefront.
A note on privacy
Distance sorting works from your device location and shows only an approximate distance.
Frequency never publishes your exact address or a listing's precise coordinates.
