Met someone at an event or around town? Scan their personal Frequency code and they land in My Contacts, ready for a follow-up.
How it works
- When you scan another member's personal code (the Connect code from their Zap button), Frequency saves them as a contact for you.
- The contact is pre-filled from their public profile: their name, and their title if they chose to share it. Their photo shows automatically because the contact is linked to their profile.
- It's stamped with where and when you met, the event or place if the code carried one, otherwise your city, plus the date.
- Right after the scan, you land on their contact page, so you can set a follow-up in one tap.
Private to you
This is your own note that you met them. It works just like saving a business card:
- The contact is private. Only you can see it.
- The person you scanned is not notified, and they are not added to any mailing list.
- Scan the same person again and Frequency updates your existing contact instead of making a duplicate.
Find them later
Your scanned contacts gather under the QR Scan tab in My Contacts. Open one to add a note, a tag, or a follow-up reminder, the same as any other contact.
Good to know
- You need to be signed in to save a contact by scanning.
- Scanning your own code does nothing.
- Want to grow your contacts another way? You can also scan a business card or add someone by hand.
