Sign inJoin freeFind your peoplePublish your Space as a standalone website, put it on your own domain, pick a theme and global styles, edit it in the website editor, and take bookings from guests.
Your website is your Space's pages turned into a site of its own, with your brand and none of the Frequency menus. It is built from the same blocks as your Space page, so you edit once and both stay in step.
Open Manage, then Profile & Settings. The Your website card leads the tab. Select Publish website and it goes live. Once it is live you see its address, View website and Unpublish. An unpublished website shows Coming soon.
Every Space can publish. Your website starts on a free address, yourspace.frequencylocal.com,
named after your Space.
The same card has a Website hero section. That is what your website leads with. Your Space page keeps its own header.
On the free plan your website is one home page plus your standard feature pages. Extra pages of your own come with Business.
Your own domain, like yourname.com, is the custom domain add-on on Business and Non Profit, and it
is included with Collective. Prices are on the pricing page.
In the Your website card, find Your domain and enter a domain you own. Some providers show a Connect with button that sets the records for you. Otherwise the card lists the records to add at your domain provider. It then shows where things stand, from Waiting on DNS to Securing your site to Live. Use Check again if DNS is slow, and Remove domain to take it off.
Until your domain is live, your website stays on its free address.
A visitor never gets bounced back to Frequency. Links to your own pages stay on your website, and Book or Contact opens your website's own page. The only Frequency links are the ones clearly labelled as Frequency, like the On Frequency section and the small mark in the footer.
There are two themes. Your content stays the same in both; only the look changes.
Choosing a theme also sets its fonts. You can pick other fonts after.
On top of the theme you can set four things for the whole site:
The option marked (theme) is the theme's own choice. Leave it there and a later theme switch brings that theme's default. Pick something else and your choice stays when you switch.
You can change the theme and global styles in two places, and both save to the same setting:
Either way, the change shows on your live website straight away.
Your site has one theme, and any page can step out of it. In the website editor, open the page, select Page settings, and under Page theme pick Frequency or Bold. That page wears the theme you picked, in that theme's own fonts, and your explicit global styles still hold. Everything else on the site keeps the site theme.
Same as site is the default. Leave a page there and it follows the Theme tab, so switching the site theme later carries it along. Like the theme, a page theme shows on your live website at once.
Your website header wears your Space's brand: the brand name, the logo and the accent colour you set in Identity and branding. With no brand name set, the header shows your Space name; with no logo, it shows the name alone. In the website editor you can give the website its own name and logo, and those win on the website only. Your Space page keeps its own.
Someone who is signed in to Frequency and is a member of your Space sees their membership in your
website header, as a small pill with the tier name. It opens your Memberships page on Frequency. It
shows on your free frequencylocal.com address; on your own domain the browser keeps the sign-in to
itself, so visitors there see the plain header. Nothing about anyone's other Spaces is shown.
Under Theme and fonts, Use the same style on my Space page is on to start with. Your website leads, and your Space page wears the same fonts. On a Bold website, your Space page also takes Bold's accent if you have not picked one, and it keeps Frequency's own layout.
Turn it off to give your Space page its own fonts. Pick them in Space page fonts.
Your Space page and your website share one menu and one logo. See Your menu and logo for how to edit them.
Open your website and select Admin: Website builder in its menu, or in the Admin section at the bottom of the page. Visitors see that link too, but only someone who can edit your Space gets in. If you are not signed in, Frequency asks you to sign in first, then sends you back.
In the editor you can:
Theme and global styles go live as soon as you pick them. Everything else waits for you to publish.
Select Publish. You see what changed, then choose Publish now or Schedule a date and time. Each publish saves a version, and Versions lets you Restore to draft if you want an earlier one back.
If the editor says your theme is still in preview, publishing saves your version, and your live website keeps its current look until that theme is ready.
If your Space has a service or open times set up, your website gets a Book page. A visitor books right there with a name and an email. No Frequency account needed.
The time is held for thirty minutes while the guest confirms it from a link we email them. If they do not click in time, the hold lapses and the time opens up again. Until they click, it shows in your bookings as awaiting the guest's confirmation.
Once they confirm, the guest gets a confirmation email with a calendar file and a reminder before their time. You get your usual booking email with their name and address, and they land in your Space Contacts. They only get your news if they tick Keep me posted.
