Notifications keep you in the loop without you having to check constantly: a reply to your post, a new event in your Circle, a friend request, an upcoming gathering.
Where they show up
- In the app: your notifications list shows recent activity.
- Email: for things worth leaving the app for, if you've opted in.
- Push: real-time alerts on your device, if you've allowed them.
Tuning them
Head to Settings → Notifications to choose what you hear about and how it reaches you. You're in control:
- Pick topics. Turn each kind on or off on its own, and per place (in-app, email, push): Dispatches, events, mentions, replies and comments on your own posts, and the occasional note about Frequency.
- Pick how often. For each topic, choose real-time, a daily digest, or a weekly digest. A digest gathers the quieter stuff into one summary instead of a stream.
- Mute one place. Quiet a single Circle or Space without leaving it. You still see everything when you open the app.
- Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor it everywhere.
- Prefer calm? Keep in-app on and email light; you'll still see everything when you open the app.
Account and security messages, like a password reset, always send. They aren't part of these choices. Full walkthrough in Your settings.
