Your settings

Settings is where you tune your account and how Frequency reaches you. It's all one page now: pick a section with the chips at the top, or just scroll.

Two ways in. Open the account menu at the top right and choose Appearance to land straight on the look-and-feel section, or open Settings and scroll.

What you'll find there

Settings is one page. Each area below is a section you can scroll to, in this order:

• Profile: your display name, handle, photo, header image (the banner across the top of your profile), bio, and region. This is what other members see.
• Appearance: pick your look. Light or dark, the Feel (how dense or roomy things sit, which now changes text size and spacing across the whole site), and a Seasonal accent you can pin on or switch off. If more than one palette is available, you can pick that too. The account menu at the top right also carries a one-tap light and dark switch, and a link straight to this section. Light is what everyone starts on, and dark is yours once you have an account. On a phone, the public Discover pages stay light whichever look you pick, so a link you send looks the same to whoever opens it. Your choice is kept and comes straight back everywhere else.
• Notifications: choose what you're told about and how (in-app, email, push, and text where enabled), pick how often, and mute a single Circle or Space. See Notifications and "Choosing what reaches you" below.
• Connections and location: control how you're found by people nearby (see below).
• Account and privacy: sign-in, account-level controls, and your privacy choices. This is also where you can erase your saved drafts, and where deleting your account lives.
• Plan and billing: your membership, what it costs, and where your payment details live (see Membership & the Vault).

Connections & Location

Frequency helps you find people nearby, and you're always in control of how visible you are. We never share your exact location. Others only ever see a fuzzed area or your city, never a pin on a map.

• Ghost mode: one tap to vanish from proximity and maps entirely.
• Show me in the Community directory: whether you're listed at all.
• Who can find me nearby: no one, only your connections, or the whole community.
• Location precision: the most anyone can see, whether hidden, your city, or a fuzzed neighborhood area (about a mile across).
• Discoverability radius: how far away someone can be and still find you. Your own slider, from a mile up to your whole region.
• Live location (optional, off by default): share your current spot instead of your home city, handy when traveling. It's a one-time snapshot, not a tracker, and your precision setting still applies. Full details in Your location & being found nearby.

Choosing what reaches you

Under Settings → Notifications you decide exactly what Frequency sends and where it reaches you. Nothing here is all-or-nothing.

• Topics: turn each kind on or off on its own, and per channel. Dispatches and events reach you by email and push; practice reminders reach you in the app and by push; onboarding nudges after you join a Circle come by email and push. A switch only appears where something actually sends through it, so if a row is missing for a topic, nothing is sent for it yet.
• Practice reminders: one nudge a day at most, at the time you usually practice, and only on days a practice is still waiting. It also carries the note when a commitment completes. On for the app by default; push is opt-in and it never comes by email.
• Mute one Circle or Space: quiet a single Circle or Space without leaving it. There is one switch per place you belong to, and it silences that place on every channel. You stay a member and see everything when you open the app; you just stop hearing from that one. Confirmations, reminders and cancellation notices for events you RSVP'd to still reach you, because you asked for those by answering. Your topic switches above are not affected.
• Marketing and memory: separate switches control marketing email and whether Vera remembers your details between chats. Both are yours to turn off any time.

Everything sends as it happens. There is no digest option today.

Account and security messages, like a password reset or a sign-in alert, always send. They're not marketing, so they aren't part of these choices.

Not a member of Frequency but still getting email from a business here? Every email has a link to a small preferences page where you can turn down one topic or stop the emails entirely, without needing an account.

• Your handle is how people @-mention and find you, so pick something you're happy to be known by.
• Keeping your region current helps surface Circles and events near you.
• Notification preferences are always yours to change, and we honor them everywhere.
• Your connection and location settings are always yours to change, and we honor them everywhere. Turn on Ghost mode any time you want to be invisible.
