A Circle is a small group of people near you, built around one thing you practice, that meets on a standing schedule. It is the basic unit of Frequency: the people you actually show up for. Everything else (Channels, Hubs, the Quest) exists to get you into a Circle and keep you coming back.
A standing time and a real room. A Circle has an always-on space online, but the point is the meeting: a fixed night, a fixed place, the same small group. A group chat is people talking about getting together. A Circle is people who got together last Thursday and will again this Thursday.
Every Circle is organized around one Channel, the thing you practice: movement, breathwork, holistic health, creativity, human relating, and more. The Channel is the reason you are all in the room. It gives the first awkward five minutes a job to do.
Small on purpose. Small enough that you are missed when you do not show up. A Circle is not trying to be a crowd. When one fills up, it seeds a new Circle nearby instead of adding a waitlist, so the groups stay the size where people actually know each other.
A Circle is one rung on a simple ladder:
You live in the Circle. The rest is just how Circles find each other as a place grows. None of it is appointed from the top; Circles grow new Circles.
Both, and the online space is always there. Every Circle has an online space so the group stays warm between meetings. Many also meet in person on a standing schedule. Virtual is the default; in person is the bonus. A Circle that meets at someone's kitchen table every week and one that meets on a call are both real Circles.
Yes. Most people settle into one home Circle and visit a couple of others. One Circle is a foothold. Two is a life. There is no limit, but the people who get the most out of Frequency have one Circle they almost never miss.
A Host: a member who volunteers to hold the standing time and keep the group going. Hosts are not appointed from above and the role is earned, never bought. Anyone can start a Circle when they are ready.
Then you are exactly who starts one. Most Circles begin with one person and a standing time. See how to start a Circle. You can also join a virtual Circle today while you build a local one.
